The Church:
Speymouth Parish Church stands just outside the village of Mosstodloch, on the west of the River Spey. Built in 1733, it is often referred to locally as The Red Kirk for its prominent red colour. The building is Category B listed. Relatively small in size, the rear of the church holds the vestry and a small hall. The building has been recently modernised to include a new kitchen, disabled WC and disabled access.
The Manse:
Speymouth is linked with Bellie Church, and the Manse for the linked charge is situated in the Square in the village of Fochabers.
The Area:
The Parish includes the villages of Spey Bay and Garmouth, lying on the east and west banks of the Spey estuary. The river is famous for its salmon, and the surrounding land includes a wildlife reserve. The major employer is the famous Baxters of Speyside. The factory at Mosstodloch blends sensitively with the surrounding area and is one of Scotland's major tourist attractions.
