Information

As well as the distilling town of Rothes with five distilleries, the parish takes in the Glen of Rothes, and the communities of Orton and Inchberry in the former parish of Dundurcas.

History:
The Church was built in 1781 and stands right at the centre of Rothes. It replaced earlier buildings dedicated to St. Lawrence. In 1860 the walls were raised by two feet and the building was re-roofed. The steeple was added in 1870 and the town clock, which had formerly been the town clock in Nairn, was installed. Extensive repairs and interior refurbishment were completed in 2001.

Activities:
Our Sunday school and Young people's groups meet in church on Sundays at 12 noon. There is a Church of Scotland Guild that meets on the last Tuesday evening of the month. The Boys' Brigade meet in the Kirk Hall at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday evenings. Morning coffee is available in the Kirk Hall every Monday morning between 10:00am and 12 noon.
